Lukas Annual Events

Lukas Elementary hosts many fun and educational special events each year. If you'd like to volunteer to help with an event, please visit our PTA link or button and fill out a Google Form.

Skywalker Sprint

Through the grassy slopes on the South Side of Lukas, Mrs. Sutter will set up a 1/4 mile lap, we become aware of and improve our fitness levels, maintain healthy lifestyles, learn how to set goals, encourage others, and feel great about our effort and achievement. All students train and participate in Skywalker Sprint. Teachers, parents and friends of Lukas Elementary students are welcome to attend, support the students and run the course. Students raise money depending how many laps they run. Family, friends and neighbors can pledge a set amount of money for each lap, for example $1, $5 (or more) per lap or they can pledge a set amount, $20 for the whole run. This money helps raise funds for Lukas and is supported through PTA. This year 2016/17 funds are being raised for a new playground for our students.

International Walk to School Day

Walk to School

Many Lukas Elementary students walk, scooter, and skateboard to school each day, but on the first Wednesday of October and in March it is fun to be a part of the international celebration!

School Carnival

Thank you PTA for sponsoring a wonderful event for the Lukas Community to get together
and have fun! There are games, face painting, a cotton candy machine and plenty of opportunities to laugh and get to know one another. Our Principal, Mrs. Williams is excited about this annual event.

Talent Show

Talent Show
Each year Lukas Elementary students (and teachers!) get a chance to strut their stuff in the talent show. We have had students dance, sing, do gymnastics, play guitar, tell jokes and many more acts have followed. The event is non-competitive and the expectation is for fun, not perfection.
